We’ve kept most of the details the same as the 990, except we switched the leather outsole a commando lug sole and antiqued the midsole and welt, which ties into the burgundy shell cordovan beautifully. The vibrant and famous Color 8 Shell Cordovan produced by Horween Leather Co. varies in hues from eggplant to dark burgundy and is known for wardrobe versatility.
Shell Cordovan is made from the connective tissue from a portion of a horse’s rump. It’s rare, low yield and known for its dense, tight grain and durability. This leather is highly regarded for being able to maintain its luster and shape over time.
